Most of us know, or will know, someone with brain cancer. Each year some 200,000 people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with a primary or metastatic brain tumor. That’s an incidence of primary brain tumors of more than 14 per 100,000 people. There are over 120 types of brain tumors, making effective treatment complicated.

Head for the Cure Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, dedicated to raising awareness and funding in the fight against brain cancer. Proceeds from Head for the Cure events benefit the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative (BTTC).

Led by the MD Anderson Cancer Center, the BTTC was created in 2004 as a network of NCI-accredited medical centers with the expertise and the desire to participate in state-of-the-art clinical trials investigating new treatments for malignant brain tumors. You can learn more at bttconline.org.
