Tony and daughters

Anthony (Tony) LaRocco

Tony was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme in October of 2001. Surgery removed about 70% of his brain tumor. During rehab, following his first surgery, Tony was able to meet Chris Anthony,(the special person Head for the Cure was established in honor of) who his sister graduated from high school with. Chris encouraged Tony and gave him great hope as he was recovering and anticipating radiation and chemotherapy. Tony never forgot that and so appreciated Chris’s visit at the hospital.

His radiation and chemo treatments enabled him to enjoy 3 more years with his 3 beautiful daughters, family and friends. What a precious time!

Early in 2004, Tony’s tumor began to grow rapidly and spread in his brain. He underwent a second surgery but had a tough time recovering. Tony passed away on November 3, 2004 after a long and courageous fight. His faith in God was strong and all who knew him love and miss him greatly!
