Memorial Picture Charley Gaa

Charles Gaa

Charley was an amazing man, father, businessman, husband & friend. He was truly an inspiration to those around him. He had a full life. His life was lost to brain cancer at the young age of 49. He was the kindest, most giving, silly, lovable man you would ever meet.

He built an amazing empire of business in Maryville, MO named Northwest Missouri Drywall and Painting. His work was articulate and thorough. He was a trusted businessman of many. Several of his apartment buildings and subdivisions still remain in Maryville and provide excellent housing options for residents. The business is still family owned and operated.

Charley has 4 children – Tina, Jeremy, Emily and Stephanie. His grandchildren enjoy hearing stories of his life and about their amazing grandfather. None of them had the opportunity to meet him.

He fought a tough battle with brain cancer. He went from driving himself to chemo to the next day in the hospital. It was an up and down battle. We sure miss him, sharing in life experiences with us, helping us with tough life choices, and just having a dad there to be with us. In the end, we know he had faith in the God. So, we know his life is in good hands now.
