Diane Stanislaus

Diane Stanislaus passed from Earth to Heaven on May 6, 2009, after a courageous 28-month battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor. She started and ended each day with a smile, prayer, love of her family and friends and compassion for others. Her strength of character, servant’s heart, and unconditional love for others exemplified her faith and impacted all with whom she came in contact. She never let the fight with brain cancer impact her life, her family, friends or others around her. Plus, her faith in God continued to bring her peace each day as she knew God  was leading her and would not lead her astray.

She is survived by her best friend and husband of 25 years, Marlin Adam Stanislaus, and their two daughters, Danay Fast and Kiley Stanislaus, and son-in-law, Cory Fast. Preceded in death by her father, Eugene Frueh, Diane is also survived by her mother, Donna Frueh; four siblings, Kenny Frueh, Karla Wooten, Randy Frueh, and Roger Frueh; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Diane was born October 16, 1959, in Maryville, MO. She was a ’78 graduate of Maryville High School and attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. She was an active member of Prince of Peace Parish, Olathe, KS, and loved to travel and join her husband and daughters on trips throughout the U.S. and the world. She knew no strangers, had a love for life, and made many friends wherever she traveled. She was an avid walker, even throughout her battle with cancer.  She loved to quilt, play Bunco, work in the yard, listen to her waterfall, cook, help others and just truly enjoy life’s every moments.

Diane gave her whole heart through her compassion, energy and love  to her  family and friends.  She was a loving and dynamic wife, mother and best friend. She put her “heart and soul” into raising her two daughters, Danay and Kiley,  supporting her husband and family.

Danay graduated with her Master’s degree in accounting. Kiley is studying elementary education and will graduate in 2010.We were blessed to have Diane here with us to plan and celebrate Danay’s wedding in September 2008  as it brought us so much joy. Her legacy and memories will always live within us. She will always be our shining star with God.
