Jeannie’s Legacy

Jeannie’s courage, faith and great attitude made a profound difference in the lives of many.  When Jeannie was diagnosed with a GBM she was three months pregnant and was told she would not have the baby, so she ruled out surgery until she was certain the operation would not present any danger to the baby.  Three months later a perfect healthy, beautiful baby girl was born.   

The Legacy Brain Foundation and the Jeannie Murphy Spirit Award is presented to the person that has embraced the fighting spirit and positive attitude that Jeannie used to battle and live with, her brain tumor and in doing so, gave hope to others, or a person who makes an extraordinary effort to help fulfill the goals of the Legacy Brain Foundation.  This presentation is at the LBF Celebration of Life.

Jeannie was diagnosed on May 15, 1995 and passed away on April 13 2005. To the end she had a spunky attitude, her great big smile and a pure love of live that was our inspiration.
