Head for the Cure 5K - Wichita to debut this summer! February 22, 2012
The inaugural Head for the Cure 5K - Wichita will take place Saturday, June 30, 2012, in Sedgwick County Park at 8 a.m. Mark your calendars and check back soon for more details. If you are interested in getting involved in planning the event, please provide your contact info here. Head for the Cure is thrilled to add the great city of Wichita to its list of host cities for our 5K events. We hope to see you there!
Head for the Cure Foundation Receives a Sweet Valentine from Love2Run February 14, 2012
Over the weekend, nearly 1,000 people registered for one of three Love2Run events held in Kansas City, Lawrence, Kans., and Columbia, Mo. Love2Run is a 4-mile run/walk event that is a unique opportunity to compete in an organized run with a loved one.

North Texas 5K Event Moves to a New Location February 6, 2012
Granite Park in Plano, Tex., will be the new location for the 2012 Head for the Cure 5K - North Texas. Same time (8 a.m.) Same date (Saturday, May 12). Due to a last-minute scheduling conflict with a major event in Pizza Hut Park, the move was unavoidable.

Head for the Cure 5K - Lawrence sets new records! October 5, 2011
A record 530 registered participants helped raise more than $33,000 for brain cancer research on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011. In only its third year, Head for the Cure 5K – Lawrence more than doubled in participation and increased funds raised four-fold! It was a beautiful morning to run or walk and celebrate the lives and legacies of those with brain cancer.

Race day is fast-approaching, and here are some last-minute details you might find helpful as you prepare for the third annual Head for the Cure 5K - Lawrence. Online Registration Online registration closes at midnight Thursday, Sept. 29. You may also register in person at packet pickup Saturday, Oct. 1 from noon to 5 p.m. at Garry Gribble's Running Sports ((839 Massachusetts, Lawrence, KS 66044) or race day on site.
