Metro KC Head for the Cure 5k
Tim Elliott, a 2008 Keeping the Faith recipient, discussed his recovery and challenges since surgery for a brain tumor in May '08 and his plan to run in the Metro KC and Lawrence 5k. Subsequently, he ran both in 32:36 and 35:06, respectively.

Two Head for the Cure 5k teams , totaling 257 members ran in support of brain tumor victims Danny Weaver (All in For Danny!) and Amy Roberts (Amy's Army of Angels). Both were '09 Keeping the Faith honorees and both, along with the Head for the Cure cause, were featured by KC media.
