Raising funds to defeat brain cancer is one of the most important steps you can take to support Head for the Cure.

With your help, we will continue to increase support for the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative (BTTC) at M.D. Anderson Cancer Centerand The Legacy Brain Foundation in North Texas.

From the North Texas 5K event, Head for the Cure will donate 90 percent of all proceeds to the BTTC, and 10 percent (up to $10,000) of the proceeds will be allocated to the Legacy Brain Foundation in 2012. The monies awarded to the Legacy Brain Foundation will be directed to financial aid grants for medical expenses for brain tumor patients.

So, please consider donating to the Head for the Cure Foundation. The more funds raised, the greater opportunity for advancements in the treatment and cure of brain cancer.

2012 Event Fundraising

It's easy, secure and convenient to set up a personal Fundraising Page. Follow these simple steps:

Step 1 - Register for one of the Head for the Cure 5K events and quickly set up an account profile during the registration process.

Step 2 – Within your personal account page, scroll down to My Events and click Fundraising Set Up.

Step 3 – Determine a fundraising goal, which will create your personal fundraising page.

Step 4 – Commit to asking family, friends, coworkers and those passionate about the cause to help you defeat brain cancer. Invite them to visit your fundraising page. Your family and friends will support your efforts if you ask. Let people know how important defeating brain cancer is to you.
