Granite Park in Plano, Tex., will be the new location for the 2012 Head for the Cure 5K - North Texas. Same time (8 a.m.) Same date (Saturday, May 12).

Due to a last-minute scheduling conflict with a major event in Pizza Hut Park, the move was unavoidable.

Granite Park will be a beautiful setting for the popular 5K event that debuted last May in Frisco. Granite Park is located just a few miles away from the 2011 event location at Highway 121 and the Dallas North Tollway in Plano (see map)

Participants, volunteers and spectators will find easy access and parking in this beautiful parkland that surrounds state-of-the-art and award-winning buildings and retail space. The course, which is USATF-certified, will include a backdrop of trees and lakes.
