Charles Tate

Chuck served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years. He was part of the nuclear program. He was very intelligent. He always amazed me that he did not have to spend much time on homework and made all A’s. He was into politics and knew about everything going on in the news. He was very fun loving and knew how to have a good time. On my 16th birthday he took me out to eat at the olive garden and gave me 100 dollars! He always made me feel important. He followed me around a half marathon course to support me and take my picture while I ran! He is the only person thats watched me run actually! That just meant the world to me! When i tried to tell him he didnt have to he was like no i want to! Each time i went to Florida he picked me up and always made a good time out of my trips even when our dad was sick and in and out of the hospital. In 2015 he was diagnosed with a glioblastoba brain tumor. Its still unreal to me, because these things happen to other people, not your family. He passed away i believe it was a year to the day of his surgery to remove most of the tumor. On April 15th, so irionic tax day, he always waited to the last minute to do his taxes because they werent collecting interest on HIS money 🙂 We miss him big time! He had the sweetest soul!
