Don Thompson

Don was the life of the neighborhood. These photos are from a neighborhood progressive party in 2001. We had just moved to the neighborhood and boy, did we hit the jackpot with the best neighbors ever. We were only there a couple months and were hosting all our new friends. Don knew everyone (and their dogs), we all loved him. Don always had a smile on his face and a funny story or joke to make you laugh. On walks, he and Joy would stop and talk to neighbors and help anyone who needed it. Don was an inspiration in his brave fight with brain cancer. He educated all of us on the disease with his posts and never complained or asked “why me?”. He was blessed and grateful for the care Joy provided and the support of his friends, coworkers and dear family. We will all miss him deeply. God’s speed dear friend.
