“I just can’t believe this is my fate. I have so many more people to take care of.” — Megan Boyd

Megan, normally just Megs, was a surgical nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital with a passion for taking care of others. Her smile and vibrance for life showed every day.

Even while fighting GBM, she remained active in nursing, taking care of those in need, while she was fighting a battle herself. Megs never gave up on the fight and was the perfect example of how, even when life sucks, there can still be good to come out of it.

When she was first diagnosed, she even joked about it – “It’s just a brain tumor.” That was Megs.

GBM may have won her fight, but Megs would be proud and happy to know that there are so many people out there carrying on the fight to end brain cancer.
