Julian is no stranger to racing events. He served as the director of the Cooper River Bridge Run for 25 years and the driving force behind making it one of the largest 10K races in the country. During his time as director, he transformed the race to be a family affair with an emphasis on good health for all.  When Julian first took charge, he allowed every organ transplant patient to walk or run the race free of charge and receive the runner’s shirt as a bonus! Today,  the Bridge Run supports many local area nonprofits and shows that charitable support is one of Julian’s missions.

Since Julian’s Glioblastoma diagnosis, he has taken on a new leadership role. He is leading the charge to help raise awareness and funds for brain cancer research. Julian inspires friends, family, and the Charleston community to continue to boldly run life’s race despite the challenges that may come.
