In May of 2012 my mom was diagnosed with GBM. She’s handled each part of her journey with grace and strength. She had surgery, radiation and chemotherapy all through wash u Barnes. She is now participating in a clinical trial and has had no progression. She hasn’t ever let cancer stop her from doing the things she loves. She has used this as an opportunity to strengthen her faith and make her relationships with friends and family even stronger. She is the mother to 4 and grandmother to 7. She is our family’s hero, she has given us strength at our weakest moments. My mom is a fighter and a survivor and we all have faith in God that she will beat this and make cancer cry for mercy.
