The 4th annual Head for the Cure 5K – Detroit
is just around the corner on September 16th!
Head for the Cure exists to inspire hope within the brain cancer community while performing to increase vital clinical research. As our local beneficiary and member of the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative (BTTC), the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center at HFHS greatly contributes to that mission. We would like to shine a light on the some of those wonderful individuals and get to know them a little better. Enjoy!

Head for the Cure 5K events are not only successful fundraisers in the fight against brain cancer but unique tributes to those who are fighting brain cancer and those who have lost their battles. These are the people for whom Head the Cure was created, and they’re the reason we keep pushing to grow the event every year…to raise greater awareness and raise more money in the fight against brain cancer. Our 5K events are not only successful fundraisers, but unique tributes to those who are fighting brain cancer and those who have lost their battles.
