Meet Your San Antonio 5K Emcee’s!

As we are nearing our 6th Annual Head for the Cure 5K- San Antonio on Saturday, September 28th at Providence Catholic School, we want to share with you our fantastic emcees for the event! Thanks to our partners at KSAT we have not one, but TWO supportive emcees for our race. Learn more about Steve Spriester and David Sears!

Steve Spriester: Steve has been at KSAT since 1995. His stories and his newscasts have been award-winning and have led the ratings consistently. From his series of reports that led to the San Antonio medical community setting up stroke centers, to the special report on San Antonio’s lack of services for the homeless that led to the creation of the innovative Haven for Hope campus, his reports have sparked change.

David Sears: A native San Antonian, David been at KSAT for more than 20 years and is the current News At Noon anchor. David says he will never forget when he interviewed former President Gerald R. Ford and the late legendary entertainer Bob Hope at the Texas Open Golf Tournament. He attended Texas Tech University and his hobbies include fishing, golf, and likes to read John Grisham novels.
